I’m Andrii — Senior Platform Engineer based in Amsterdam. I own the GCP platform at Dexter Energy, working on renewable energy optimization: Kubernetes, Terraform, secrets, networking, CI/CD, cost — everything codified and automated. Currently also driving AI/LLM adoption in infrastructure.
My background spans three domains. I started at Tranzzo building a Payment Service Provider from the ground up — card tokenization, dynamic routing across 50+ criteria, fraud systems, Apple/Google Pay — and grew from engineer to Tech Lead. Then Exabeam: a cybersecurity data platform processing terabytes of streaming events per hour, where I spent a year deep in Scala, Akka Streams, and distributed cache optimization (an 80x improvement I’m still proud of). That path eventually led to platform engineering, where I found the leverage I was looking for — infrastructure that enables entire organizations rather than a single product.
I believe through teaching you learn. The notes and interactive explainers on this site are things I built to understand something better — made public in case they’re useful to anyone else.
Outside of work: badminton, cycling, hiking, and the occasional billiards game.
